ABOUT DIRECTOR

Kim Alley has over 30 years of experience in the fashion industry!

It all started with traveling through Europe as a fashion model, Kim set the stage for her success by landing high profile campaigns for Lancôme, Evian, and Benetton and was featured in such top fashion magazines as French Vogue, Italian Vogue, Italian Bazaar, and American Elle. Her modeling career took her all over the world for 15 years: from Europe to the Mediterranean, from Japan to Australia.
After Kim returned to New York City her success as a model brought her to all of the major markets in United States including Chicago, Los Angles, Miami, and New York City. As part of the Ford, Wilhelmina and Elite roster, her notoriety grew as a professional international model.

During her early 1990s in New York City, Kim dated Donald Trump. She was on the covers of NY Post, NY Daily News, all TV stations and media.

In 1993, using her vast experience of the fashion industry, Kim helped start a Richmond, VA modeling and talent agency. She developed, placed, advised and counseled aspiring models as they began careers in New York and Europe. One of their discoveries, Amy Lemons was placed with IMG Models, has
since become a cover girl appearing on the covers of Harper’s Bazaar, British Vogue, and in many Tommy Hilfiger campaigns.

Kim’s career transformed in 1995, when she was asked to work at Paris USA Models in New York, this time as an agent. She continued to work as an agent for other well-established companies in New York for over 10 years, such as Bryan Bantry, APM Models and Elite Models for another ten years. In this capacity, Kim successfully managed the careers of many celebrities, stylists, photographers and models.

In 2009 Kim was the star and producer of "Virginia's Top Model" a Richmond, VA competition closely resembling "America's Next Top Model." The purpose of "Virginia's Top Model" was to spotlight one deserving contestant and take his or her career to the next level and meet face to face with agents in New York City. Judges pared more than 100 hopefuls ages 13 to 21 years old. The winner would travel with Alley to New York City to meet with top agencies, including Elite Model Management, IMG Model Agency and the Ford Modeling Agency.

Kim Alley, along with Richmond's local radio station Q94's host, Melissa Chase and Style Weekly Editor, Jason Roop announced the winner in January 2009, when the finale aired on WRIC-TV8 for a three hour show.
